David R. Donaldson, Ph.D., is the founder, CEO/President of Impact Missions, Inc., a North Mississippi charity that provides counseling and residential care to needy children and families in the Mid-South.
David has worked as a clinical mental health doctor for the past ten years, emphasizing faith-based marriage and family counseling. Prior to Impact Missions, David managed logistics and production at a number of companies, including Fortune 500 companies.
A resident of northern Mississippi for more than forty-two years, David now lives with his family on a 250-acre farm in Sardis, Mississippi. He and his wife, Cindy, have been married for twenty-five years and have three children.
He enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. Most of all, he enjoys being out in the natural world with his family!
David’s passion for historical fiction and psychiatry has fueled the research and writing of Bedlam South with his longtime friend, Mark Grisham.
“Since completing my Ph.D. studies, writing has become a form of therapy for me. I enjoy the research and character development. I guess it is a spiritual release for me, a way to lay aside the cares and issues of the day, and focus on a simpler time in history.”
David’s latest passion? Nathaniel Drake Donaldson, his first grandson!
